FAQs
-
No. Improving levels of competition and driving the ball further without risk of injury requires a specialized training program. The AP Golf Fitness Training provides a complete TPI movement screen to address your physical limitations and prevent injury.
-
Yes, the AP Golf Fitness training program is created based on a golf specific physical screening performed at the start of the program. The information gathered from the physical screen is used to create a custom training program that addresses the physical limitations shown in the screening that could possibly be limiting the golf athletes performance.
-
Both are important for these three main reasons:
I. The stronger and more flexible you are as you age, the less susceptible to injury while playing golf.
II. Your physical endurance will improve the stronger and more flexible you are.
III. You will increase the power behind your drives.
-
This is done in two ways:
I. By addressing several factors found in the AP physical movement screening that could be affecting the stability, flexibility of the golf athlete during their golf swing.
II. By applying training methods that address strength imbalances that could be causing the pain or injury in different areas of the body.
-
By focusing on improving your movement first with a focus on improving flexibility, mobility, and balance first and increasing their strength and power second. This is a fundamental principle within the AP Golf fitness Training Program.
